What are the rights of the criminally accused?
If you are charged in the USA, you are protected by the US Constitution. Do you know your rights? You have the right to an attorney. You have the right to be protected from illegal search and seizure, and the right to be safe from an arrest without probable cause. If it can be proven clearly that the police had no probable cause to stop you, the case could be dismissed.
If your home or car was searched and evidence gathered that was later used to charge you, this search must have been conducted without violating your rights. If any police investigators ask if they can search your home, don't allow it until a judge has signed a search warrant. The only purpose in the search is to find evidence to convict you. If they don't have enough evidence for a judge to sign the search warrant, you can save yourself from the consequences of the search.
