Guy Womack

Attorney Guy WomackAs one of the nation's best known and most respected attorneys, the name "Guy Womack" will come up in any serious discussion of military and federal law. Mr. Womack is widely regarded by his clients, peers and the news media as one of the best attorneys in the world.

Mr. Womack's case results are nothing short of stunning. Mr. Womack's courtroom strategies have made him one of the most respected and powerful defense attorneys in the nation in military , federal and state courts .

As a retired Lieutenant Colonel of Marines and former Military Judge and Infantry Officer, Mr. Womack has become perhaps the top military defense attorney in the nation. He has received numerous awards, commendations and medals from the military services.

When two army sergeants were accused of double homicide in the running over of two girls in South Korea, there was worldwide press attention and the expectation of a guilty verdict. At a jury trial by General Courts-Martial, Mr. Womack got a verdict of not guilty on all accounts. Riots broke out in South Korea upon announcement of the result.

Mr. Womack has handled defendants in the infamous Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse scandal in Iraq. Not surprisingly, Mr. Womack has been featured repeatedly on virtually every major news media outlet.

At the federal level, Mr. Womack has earned a long string of case dismissals, acquittals and dramatically reduced penalties in drug crime trials. He also has a series of stunning case results in defending violent, drug and sexual charges in the state courts of Texas, Louisiana, Missouri, Alaska and Georgia.

Mr. Womack earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Georgia and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Woodrow Wilson College of Law. He is a published author and has nearly 20 years teaching experiences in the military and at major universities.

Guy Womack has served as a defense counsel and as a prosecutor in federal practice since June 1980. In addition to appearing before federal and military courts across the country, Guy Womack has defended felonies in many state courts, and he can represent clients in every level of the Texas state court system.
